Natalia González Acosta, born in 1997 in Xalapa, Mexico, is a photographic artist based in London. Her work has been featured in national and international exhibitions, including New Art Gallery Walsall, Otherlandz, An Indian Summer, The Festival of Photographic Images Regensburg, Noorderlicht International Photo Festival, and Photo North. She has also been featured on fLIP, Undisclosed Resource, It’s Nice That, and more.
Natalia holds a Master’s degree in Photography and Urban Cultures from Goldsmiths, University of London.
In my practice, I explore spaces and how they shape identity and experience. I am drawn to narratives that relate to the power of representation, women’s experiences, urbanism, citizenship and migration. Working primarily in social documentary photography, I often adopt a socially engaged approach, combining photographs with text.
