Jaime Molina is a photographer, and publisher, based in Edinburgh. Centring his practice on photobooks and collaboration, Jaime started Orange Press, an independent publishing house focused on artist-led photography projects, and co-founder of Agitate, an artist-run photography collective supporting lens-based artists through exhibitions, talks and events to build upon on the photographic community in Scotland.
Working closely with artists, Jaime develops projects from early editing through to production and distribution, with particular attention to how work is experienced in book form. His approach prioritises dialogue, curiosity, long-term collaboration, and making projects that exist beyond a digital medium.
Jaime has also been working on editorial commissions for national and international publications like The New York Times, The Guardian & El Mundo.
My practice sits between photography, publishing, and collective work. Rather than treating images as isolated objects,
I’m drawn to projects that are quiet, unresolved, or resistant to easy categorisation, particularly work that finds meaning in the everyday and the overlooked. Books are central to my thinking: not as commodities, but as spaces for attention and intimacy, I’m especially invested in collaborative processes, working closely with artists to shape how their work is encountered, rather than imposing fixed narratives.
My approach is informed by curiosity and practicality. I value making things that exist in the world, and developing structures that allow photographic work to be experienced over time. For me, photography becomes most powerful when it slows us down and creates space for reflection.
